Working in Partnership
For many of our clients, the economic downturn has resulted in a reduction in budgets causing departmental re-structuring, staff redundancies and role-redefinition. Whilst this may bode well for the overall organisation savings, it can often leave staff ill prepared for their new roles, and unable to fulfil the expectations of these new teams. This means managers can be forced into decisions without having the relevant information to hand.
While standard training can help address several of the issues above, one of the main issues very rarely addressed is the new business processes and procedures that need to be introduced as part of these changes.
By working in partnership with the gvas consultancy, we can help you to identify good working practises, define and document business processes and introduce new organisation work flows as part of a re-training programme. This helps to empower the teams by involving them in decisions and making these changes feel less threatening. The sooner we are involved with the project, by helping to identify relevant functionality within the system, suggesting different working practises that can improve data and communication flows and defining roles and responsibilities, the more finely tuned and relevant the training programme will become. The training can then be rolled out with a job focus including all role processes, as opposed to generic “point and click” training.
Internet based Training
Following the recent change in the financial situation, training costs can often be the first casualty of budget cuts. While this will have a short term financial gain, the long term costs can be harder to quantify but may impact on staff morale, the ongoing accuracy of data input, and subsequently the quality of information and the service being offered to your clients.
To help address this situation, we are pleased to announce that we are now offering training via the Internet. The cost effective pre-bookable sessions will be open to all clients and will focus on one particular aspect of the software, for example the Maintenance Planner. Each session will last between one to two hours and will have a standard fee applied to them depending on duration.
We can also offer company specific training via the Internet, subject to your database being available to us here at gvas. This would be greatly beneficial to clients that need refresher training, new staff or upgrade functionality training without the travel costs associated with a site visit. Our dedicated training team offers any variety of training courses to help you gain maximum value from your gvas system.
Don’t forget that, as we have always offered, we can also provide training at your premises. The sessions can range from group / classroom style training courses to one-on-one training, mentoring and on the job training.
All training courses can be delivered on all the gvas modules, from Property Manager and Lease and Rent Manager, through to Maintenance Manager and Planner. This also includes training on our new Web Publisher and Valuation Manager modules.
